New Autonomous practice bill filed January 5th

Posted over 3 years ago by Susie Hemberger

A new, brief bill for APRN Autonomous practice was filed in the House and Senate last week. This bill which will be all inclusive for Florida APRNs, removes written protocols and physician supervision. The Autonomous APRN practice bill passed last year excluded many APRN groups. HB 111 is sponsored by Representative Tyler Sirois from Merritt Island and SB 424 was sponsored by Senator Jeff Brandes of St. Petersburg. Now is the time to write letters and make phone calls to your legislators to discuss the bill and what it means for your practice. With session opening on March 2, 2021, it is important to reach out and educate as many as possible so they have that information as they prepare for session.
